Think I'm going for a straw trilby for the coming summer, should compliment the autum/ winter tweed flat cap nicely.

I hate to jump on the bandwagon, however I've actually been really impressed by the headwear One More Cast have released. I've had one of their wooly hats and the cap, both are really comfy and the wooly hat is properly warm in this recent weather we've had. My brother has the new waterproof woolen hat, I'm not a huge fan of the rustling but still a quality item

I just wear a baseball cap when it's warm and when it's cold a beanie hat

I found if hats DONT have a liner your head will itch
but the ones with a liner preferably a cotton one are perfect and wont make your head itchy a flat cap is a perfect example

When it's really cold or really hot (for sunburn) I do wear a hat but if I can get away with it I won't wear one.

I've gone full on Peaky Blinder hat...
I've got a draw full of hats, mainly caps and beanies, but I also have bobble hats, bucket hats and a fur lined trapper hat.
Favourites for general everyday use - Nike cap or a camo UA one I got from the States. When it's cold, a beanie with a lizard on the front or an Oakley bobble hat. When it's really cold, the trapper hat with a cap underneath it so I have a peak. When it's hot, I have a wicked reversible SaltRock bucket hat.
As you can see, I like hats.

I do actually have a Herringbone flat cap which I find comfortable to fish in, a Beanie with a USB rechargeable headlight, a Thinsulate Thermal hat and couple of the obligatory baseball caps, one by RH and one by a company called Coast.
The flat cap is probably my favourite as it is based on the Andy Little Flat cap and fish detector. (Was that a Chris Ball or Rod Hutchinson comment?)

Don't wear them unless it's really very cold, but I've got a black fur-lined trapper hat that might've saved me from serious injury years ago.
I was coming down a ski slope at 2am on a little plastic sledge (seemed like a good idea at the time) when I failed to negotiate the final bend and went straight off into the pine trees quite fast. You could see the bark-print bruise on my cheek, and I broke 2 ribs when I hit the tree ... but without that hat who knows what would've happened. I might have voted for Brexit.

I've also struggled with itchiness from hats. Tried fleece even a merino one. That went to the missus. However I have a Hemp Tilly that is lovely to wear. It's nearly 20 years old.now and still going strong. Not really a warm hat, and not 100% waterproof.
However it always seems to do the job. Either in Egypt from the sun or the UK from a shower . Naturally breathable and anti rot.
