Anybody got any views on the Shimano Hyperloop Carp Rods ? I know its an old model but I cant find out much about them .

The really old ones (circa 2000) were brilliant rods. had a distintive carbon wrap.

Had mine a l9ng time one of the best rods I owned

A blast from the past. Reminds me of my diaflash rods with purple fittings. I loved them rods.

Fantastic and sought after rods used for floater fishing.

They made some great rods back then shimano. The antares specialist avon/quiver is still my favourite rod of all time.

Had a set of those, great rods. Shimano made a lot of good stuff back then.

My first ever set of carp rods were Shimano Powerloop 2lb, bought from Bennet's of Sheffield. As a youth I used to catch the bus to Sheff and spend hours in there! Then I discovered Rob's place in Rotherham....

I remember Bennets! I remember going in there when I was a kid, I got my fox micron SX buzzers, when I was 15 in about 1996 from there.

In store they had a great big tank with allsorts swimming around and fishing videos constantly playing in a seating area!

My Mrs has a set of these, had them for over 14 years. No complaints from her about them and she has had fish to 45lb on them in France

I've just noticed that there's a set of 3 for sale on Faceache Marketplace if anyone is interested. Not sure what year they are. Located in Stoke.
