Looking at getting a set of harrison rods but would like to have a cast with some before I take the plunge.

Anyone know anywhere around the Essex or Hertfordshire area where I could go and have a cast with some before making my mind up?

Currently looking at the below.

Aviator plus 2 13ft
Trebuchet lite 13ft
Aviator TE 13ft

Speak to Danny turtle, he works for Cotswolds rods. I tried a vast array of blanks before I paid up for my distance setup was worth its weight in gold

Thiught he had started again after stopping using shimano TX range. If you book a lesson with him he will definitely have some

Had a lesson with Terry last year and he was using an 'unknown to mortals' 13' eastern european rod (the name escapes me)

Orient rings a bell - although I could be wrong / old / senile! I remember him telling me they weren't mega expensive, just mega effective tourney casting rods!
