Had a huge amount of respect for The Queen, she'll be sadly missed. It was clear she and Philip were devoted to each other and now they're together again. RIP

An incredible lady who served us for over 70 years.

R.i.p. Elizabeth.

As somebody who would rather have seen the UK as a republic I find myself strangely saddened by this.

I have never been in doubt of her commitment to her duty and the good she has done in her time but I always felt like I didn't like the ideology of a monarchy and what it socially stands for. However upon her death I find myself feeling incredibly uneasy that the idea that she is no longer here, as a steadfast symbol of unity for the UK and everything that was good about our country.

I hope that her last days were spent comfortably with the people she loved. May she and her family be at peace during this period.

I truly loved her, and she did us.
