I bought some many years ago and the buoyancy was fine.
Bought some two years ago and they were ever so slightly larger, but noticeably LESS buoyant!
Just wondered what the recent batches were like?
Failing that anyone know an egg yellow colour pop up that is buoyant and retains it's colour for a few hours..
Cheers, Dan.

Thanks guys.
Apart from the Bunspice , the others seem too bright for me.
Loads of different yellow pop up boilies out there but they're all so bright, or ligher flourescent almost.
All you Baitmakers - Must be hard to make an egg yolk \ darker yellow Boilie?
Cheers, Dan.

No it isn't I literally named the old school yellow dye to you.
It's easy to make any colour, the pigment variety is mind blowing. Shame though when you order 5kg of insoluble dye and it feckin runs haha

There are indeed many dyes that are possible for hookbaits/pop-ups, in all sorts of colours, but most of these are NOT permitted for boilies / feed baits. Many of the very bright coloured boilies on sale are almost certainly using non-permitted dyes - a problem within the bait industry.
For a dye to be permitted in feed baits it must be on the Feed Additives Register as specifically permitted for fish (e.g., being on there as its permitted for cats and dogs is not sufficient, and NOT if it's just for ornamental fish either). It's NOT sufficient for a dye to be human food grade - it must be animal feed permitted.
A link to the Register of Feed Additives can be found on the Food Standards Agency website:
