Fairly new to Bait making so a novice question, do hydrolysates go off?
Have not been fishing for three or four weeks and went in the garage to roll some fresh bait. The hydrolsates (Liver and Fish) do not quite smell the same as they did before the recent very hot weather.
I purchased them about three months ago so not that old and they are not stored in sunlight, but nor are they stored in a fridge.
Thanks in advance

I've got some from Upstream baits in the fridge for well over 2 years now I can confirm they have not put any fish off-carp,roach and pike.....

Has your garage managed to keep cool with the recent hot weather?
Personally wouldn't use it if I was if confident in it. You'll only question yourself down the line.

Generally they have a 12/24 month best before if stored in a cool & dark place. I'd still use them.

As Joss said, they definitely can go off.
When I used to make them in a lab they would always be stored in the fridge. though shelf life would depend on what has been hydrolysed, has it been stabalised, was the reaction stopped naturally (ie the hydrolysis had been left to run its course or stopped artificially with pH change).
If in doubt, personally i would get fresh stuff and store in a fridge.
