Credit where it's due....
Jag - repaired my super compact that I bought second hand. One of the pod legs was extremely loose and I couldn't fix it, sent off to them and sorted out and returned as if it were new.
Reuben Heaton, OK I paid for the service on my 21 year old scales but if I didn't know better you would have thought that they'd just sent me back a new set.
Fantastic service from two great companies, well worthy of anyones support.

Heatons service replace any part that shows the slightest wear...always have.
That's why their scales are 10x times more desirable to cheap chatty copies.

I have a set of Limited Edition Millennium glow in the dark specimen dial scales
and I loaned them to a mate for his french trip sadly with 4 of them crammed in a motor my scales took a battering and the case front was badly scratched and cracked
he of course paid for the repair when I phoned Reubens explaining I needed a new case they said dont worry in a service we replace anything that needs replacing
and sure enough they came back like a brand new set and of course the accuracy is all spot on and a record given of the weights both before the service and after
I would recommend anyone with an old set of scales instead of replacing get a service
