Anyone uses this as a mainline in heavy weed, looking at the 28lb which they state as 0.08 but looks more like 0.18. Seems good knot strength but what it like abrasion wise.

I've used it for 2 seasons in a heavily weeded lake with no issues what so ever, still have it on my spools should I fish a weedy lake again

You want mono in weed, absolutely not braid - braid is not very abrasion resistant, mono is. I use 20lb Korda subline - currently fish a well known syndicate lake that's very weedy, fish to 50lbs, most are 25 to 30. On this water, Braid is banned as main line for good reason.

Strange, the most protective motorcycle jeans on the market are a kevlar/dynema blend and a lot of goretex laminated riding kit uses the same for its strength. Nylon in motorcycle kit is very poor and mainly only used for waterproof outer clothing. Many fisheries banned braid because it is so thin and could damage fish if not used correctly.

'If braided mainline is allowed, then get on it. There is simply nothing better for extracting big carp from weed. If you have to use mono, then always keep it thick. I would never contemplate using less than 0.40mm, regardless of the stated breaking strain – it's the diameter that will land your fish'. - Adam Penning

I agree with Adam.

Having said that I'm sure I saw somewhere that the 8 carrier braids are better for casting (I use some on my spod rod) but they are not as abrasion resistant as the 4 carrier braids.
