Has anyone else seen the news on furnace closing Roman, kiln, willow and plantation? The owners are being very hush hush on their Facebook and turning off all comments so no one even gets the chance to ask or find out why? I've had comments deleted asking as have others. Even tried calling the office to have them put the phone down on me. Strangely run place since the new owners have taken over. My guess is the above 4 lakes are being made members only. Anyone else have news?

Probably a blessing if its memebers only, used to fish the place years ago before all the noddies started ramming the place and it went downhill!

Went there last year, felt like an FBI interrogation when checking in..... looking in my bait buckets, asking ridiculous questions. I know they get all sorts of levels and abilities but it was border line threatening behavior.
We were advised to only use single hookbaits on the main speci lake... and not use any loose feed so the fish stay hungry..... which was a shame really because the fish we caught you could see would have been considerably bigger if they had enough bait going in the feed them.
Had an upper 20 on the mat (I use the big nash inflatable mats) with a ridgemonkey bucket of water next to me for photos. within 60 seconds had someone on a quadbike telling me the fish had been out the water too long and the owners had been using bino's watching what we were doing..... after that I had enough.
We had planned on filming that session for a feature but in the end we have ditched most of the footage purely because we don't want to give them publicity. As per below a few comments below, we won't be going back.
