when I realised he had no idea about the wonderful abrasion resistance of Fluorocarbon line
I think this test will demonstrate the difference between Mono line and the Fluorocarbon line in the abrasion tests

Not really a definitive answer from either test.
Probably all they prove is it depends what brands you pick.
We all know that there are good and bad mono's. So surely the same for fluro.
You would need to check the top 15 fluro against the top 15 mono's. Also I would not think in that test the B/S would really matter. Its abrasion test not a B/S test.
