What's the best Ice packs that people are using? The ones I have at the moment don't seem to stay frozen for very long at all.

Empty plastic milk bottles filled with water and frozen, leave a small gap for expansion when freezing.

The bigger the ice pack the longer it should take to thaw, but could it be what its stored in which is the problem rather than the ice pack itself??

Bottles of water. Keep stuff cold, and provide a nice cold drink as defrosting too

what ip said.. in tra to make it as bigger chunk of ice as possible to make it last longer... 2l, 5l.... nothing better than 30C outside and you get a glass of ice cold water on 3 day of your session... mix some wine in and you can survive...

If it's for a coolbox I normally just freeze a 4pint bottle of milk, freeze a few food items and throw in a bag of ice and that keeps everything cold for a good 3 days using a 28L Coleman box. If I'm there longer I pop to the shop and drop another bag of ice in.
Hopefully got an icey-tek 40L coming soon which should be good for 5 days.

Don't forget the salad with dressing and jacket spuds with cheese and pickle, I'm bringing the rib eyes and Braders will bring the olives and beer.

And....don't forget to bring a few beers you pair of slackers - only get about 20 bottles in my Coleman which is barely enough for me

I always buy a few 2ltr bottles of water .undo the cap to release the pressure and freeze them last a few days in a moderate rated coolbox take one out at a time

I use the ice blocks that come with gusto food deliveries, seem to stay frozen for ages and reused them many times

I freeze water in a rectangular box with clip down lid, then transfer it into a resealable bag.
Make them 4 inches thick and they last for days
Or 2 litre water bottles then at least you can drink it as well
