Looking for a decent barbless hook. I've not had to use them in a long time. But the lakes I fish are going over to barbless hooks in the new session. And I was wondering what decent hooks are out there. The lake I fish is pretty heavy with weed. So need a good hook to get the fish in. What you guys recommend

Think you also need to say what rig you're using as that will affect the choice.
If the rule just says "barbless hooks", you can just flatten the barbs down on your current hooks to save you a few quid. Some fisheries are specifically saying "barbless hooks only, no flattened barbs"

I've used J precision hooks for the last few years, and last year was my first year on his Barbless hooks, I was a bit sceptical as have used barbed for years but have only dropped one fish in around 20 over the year, really sharp which I think helps them go in a little further and hold

I use IB hooks myself, they are also hand sharpened like others mentioned on this post and really are pin sharp

I agree with post 2. What rig are you using? If it was a multi rig, for example, I would say a barbless Mugga.

Yes, totally agree, Mugga barbless are excellent hooks. My go to hook on my go to rig - the german rig.

If your happy with the barbed version and they make a bar less one just swap to that.

No one can possibly give an answer of any value based on the info provided. There are loads of decent brands and patterns available. We need to know what it's being used for to make a recommendation of value.
I'm with CarpHippy. Just get the barbless version of what you normally use. If it's straight point maybe look at a beaked point alternative.

Some manufacturers only do barbed hooks, like Atomic. But you're right, with so little info it's impossible to provide a meaningful answer.
