Does any one in here every go in for those carp tackle and bait competitions.
If so are there any you can recommend?.
I was thinking buying a ticket or two every month might be a bit if fun.

Don't do the ticket ones but I do the total carp ones every month and I won the Speero luggage worth £500 last may,for price of a stamp or online (allows you to do both or phone them) worth doing.
I use to enter all the magazine ones and won loads of stuff

Me and a mate do the carp gear giveaway one
I've won a chirp 2+, a Korda coat (was a free entry) and a ridgemonkey carbon stick.
On hearing of my modest win my mate had a few goes....
A chirp 2+, a jrc chair, jrc winda bivvy and wrap and 2k cash.
It only a couple of tickets here and there. Certainly nothing expensive.

Same as you, won a 3 rod RX+ set for about a tenner, only do odd random ones.

I'd like a set of delks but can't warrant buying them when my txis are fine, I've also won 150 quid of site credit in the last week, lumped on the next delk draw 😂

Those companies make an absolute killing by doing raffles, a few of them are tackle shops, who get tackle at cost price then sell it for double what they would normally sell it for

This. Reading this thread you'd think everyone wins a load of stuff off a few tickets
Simple fact is, almost everyone loses.
The companies/individuals doing it are making far more profit raffling gear than they could selling it.

Same hear. Three of us at work have won one after another.
Me 3x Daiwa 19 Emblem 45 scw. For a tenner.

I used to use one on Facebook and when you worked out number of tickets Vs the prize values the lad was making like 10% on top which I didn't think was too unreasonable.
I got lucky and won a couple of high value items like a DSLR and a tempest but without them I'd defo have been down a few hundred quid.
They are quite fun to play and mint when you win but in the long run prob just best saving up for the tackle you want

I won a Fox Frontier X and vapour peak on the Carp Hunters Giveaways site, I only bought the one ticket and think the entry cost me £1.99
Can't remember for definite but think it was the first time I'd entered one of these comps and I half expected that these sort of sites were a scam so was gobsmacked when I got the call to say I'd won!
Downside is they've got me hooked and I keep entering the comps now

I've got no issue with them making as much profit as they can. They source the prizes, do the marketing and admin, take the risk if all the tickets do not sell etc there's got to be some reward. I'm just gambling a couple of quid to potentially win a decent bit of kit. No different to playing the lottery etc apart from the odds are better!

I was just after some companies that are legitimate and not scams...
I am reasonably intelligent so understand they are making money and it's essentially gambling....
I have a footy accumulator bet every Saturday, and a little scorecast on every Liverpool game, but dont wager more than 15-20 quid a week, which i can more than afford.....i will just have a couple of quid every now and then if there's something i fancy on the tackle websites....just a bit of fun really

I just won a Nash moon chair for £9.90 not that I need it. I will give it to my sister to use in her garden. It's a bit like betting on a horse you need to be able to evaluate the odds and the potential win. Some races are not worth betting on. Unless you are so rich you can afford to buy money, and not worry about the loss if you come unstuck.
