has anyone heard of the big plated being banked lately? i don't recall it being banked last year, also heard rumors of it being brown bread.

Been gone for about 3 years i think. Used to be a fairly friendly fish but hasnt been out for a few years.

i know the baby plated has gone, but linear did'nt announce the big pleated dying did they?

No they havent. It may be because it never popped up. Loads of predators and a lot of weed can do that.

It's definitely gone though, it used to come out every 6-8 weeks or so

It was a great fish! Saw it on the bank 3 or 4 times and netted it once

Really easy fish to target as well, loved the edges. A mate of mine caught it twice

Stranger things have happened.

If it does get caught eventually, i'll expect the captor to have +250 additional IG followers, a bulk swivel discount deal and a carpfeed article within a few days.

Feel sorry for any fish living in those lakes

Don't get a minutes peace or escape from the onslaught of anglers

Think I'd give up carp fishing rather than fish there
