Is there a considerable difference in quality, for fabrics commonly used for the carp anglers bivvy ?
Either 210D or Aquatexx seems to be the norm, and the majority, i suppose, choose by either :-
1 - Reputable manufacturer vs lesser known manufacturer, but this is very questionable and misleading, as both products COULD´VE come off the same manufacturing production line, using different labels.
2 - Actual bivvy construction & features
3 - Fabric quality & durabilty, including HH & overall weight
In terms of general adequate quality, is there really a significant difference between 210D & Aquatexx ?
Should you the angler, be overly concerned, with the actual Denier, Thread count, Hydrostatic Head, Coating, Ripstop etc of the fabric used, or is this overkill ?
Personally, when choosing a bivvy, the factors which should tick the boxes, when i decide, are :-
1 - Price & Construction
2 - Size
3 - Water resistance/HH with a minimum of 5000mm or preferably higher
4 - UV resistance / Coating of said fabric which will be bombarded by sunlight
5 - Ripstop/Durability due to manhandling
1 & 2 usually are the deciding factor in most cases, for me personally, and not fabric quality or overall weight.
Should more thought be put into this, or is it overkill for general use ? Obviously everyone strives to get the best quality, but where do you draw the line between being sensible and downright tarty ?

Good post,a very subjective topic maybe..
I've had had many, many shelters,it seems ,like many others on here and out on the cold damp banks of carpsville.
I have had Aquatex and Nylon,..simply put I prefer nylon,although I have a long top ,with what it seems is Tboxs version of Aquatex type fabric..
I look at price point ,which company is selling it ,and we all know they or most come from the same country or manufacturer in general..
They all share a common theme,or most,shelters are overpriced these days...but everything is ,isn't it ,as well.
