Off to A12 lakes next week and its a barbless hook rule. When i went last September i had a 12 fish session but was using sharpened hooks and it was a new rig every fish. Dont gwtvme wrong i dont mind doing this as more fish the better but what are peoples sharpest out the packet hooks that may be good for 2 fish or 3 fish a hook.

really rate the Gardner Wide Gape Talon Tips, not as popular as the mugga but they're excellent in a 6.

also a fan of the Korda Widgape X

I've used Korda hooks straight from the packet which are super sharp but would stick with the sharpening of each hook as you've said just to make sure each hook is needle sharp.

I wouldn't want to compromise on hook hold when a PB is on the cards.

Bank Tackle hooks are bloody good, cheaper to, very quick delivery, never let me down. Ok they don't have 50 different patterns but I only use two patterns 😁

Muggas. They don't blunt as easy either. Awesome hooks

King of the pond hooks are fantastic out the pack very sharp. Are more a 1 fish hook but there very well priced ( not associated in anyway either )

Are the bank tackle super sharp enough straight from the packet, or do you sharpen before using.

I use j precision all though they are hand sharpened for you, my favourite hook other than that is either a esp trighammer or a Korda wide gape X hook I really like them

I use some Bank tackle hooks and I do sharpen them first.
