What is the difference between all of these or are they all the same thing but with different names?

glug liquid oil goo
LIQUID - Simply the definition of a wet ingredient. can be any of the other items mentioned.
GLUG - Two meanings, one, is the matching liquid to a boilie, the other is the action of covering said boilie or anything else in a particular liquid i.e " I glugged some dog biscuits in hemp oil"
OIL - Literally the same definition as as oil in any other food / feed based industry, the chemical definition I feel is irrelevant in this explanation as in itself it doesn't really give information as to how to using it in a fishing scenario.
GOO - Sh1t...... Ok then, its a mix of dye, cheap glycerine, a thickening agent sometimes or thinning agent in others, some flavour. its got next to no ingredients in it that cause most than a few pence per bottle and is in my and many others who study bait sciences opinion a bottle of ********.
Now where you need to be careful with liquids if using with PVA is making sure they're PVA friendly, however that. doesn't always mean indefinitely so, a lot of PVA friendly liquids will eventually break down a PVA bag in a couple of days. my advice is to test any that don't explicitly state PVA friendly by putting some of a PVA bag and watching what happens.
Oils, and oil based liquids, should always be PVA friendly, Liquids its a case by case scenario.
Liquids also encapsulates other products that are wet, such as hydrolysates, syrups etc
Liquids and oils are often used together to create glugs.
Some glugs from either inexperienced companies / cheap skates will be basically the same as goo and not really offer any level on enhancement to your hook bait.
with the first three definitions, quality will vary greatly, dont assume because you bought a brilliant glug last time that every glug will be of this calibre etc.
Hope that helps.

Or is it in spite of?
Either way if you wanna be mugged off paying 11 quid for a tiny bottle that is your prerogative and I shall let you get on with it

So do boilies glugged in goo catch or they dont?
So do boilies glugged in goo catch or they dont?
I think ‘Goo-ing' baits comes down to confidence as much as anything. The Korda boys like Tom Dove and Peck say they won't cast a bait without it and I probably believe them. They are good anglers, get a lot of time on the bank and would catch a lot of fish without it. But who can say if they catch more with it.
Not for me personally but I'm not going to be one of those guys who has to try and look smart and say it's junk because it's popular and over priced.
The reality is the self proclaimed bait experts do not know the exact make up of Goo, and probably only dream that they could sell thousands upon thousands of tiny bottles for £11

So you chose to specifically pick out something in a statement to try and pick another issue with me. m flattered.
I personally think its in spite of the goo personally and so do others.

You love commenting on my comments, whilst ignoring the original question asked. shows your motivation which is sad. on plenty of other threads people have said goo is c*** but you've not commented, because it isn't me. im flattered.
Tom Dove and Darrell Peck are paid employees of the people who make it. of course they'd catch as much without it, because they did, famously, as they were well known haulers before it ever existed.
You seem to think you have a grasp on what I sell, you really don't, I sell more than enough bait.
And I started the company whilst still earning money in another job, and the main bait I have sold for 8 years was never designed to be commercially viable lol. if profit was my soul driver i'd simply deck out a factory and contract roll, contract bottle etc. lots of people make money selling goo equivalents they aren't hard to make.
I get lots of questions in my inbox about the science of and construction of bait, the senders seem to think its not worth posting on the rest of the forum due to bickering (Y)
Please stop assuming what I DON'T know, because.....you don't
Now its been a while since the last b****ing match so lets all shut up and keep it on topic.

I bought a couple of bottles of the squid goo a few years ago. I did a batch with the thinner one and applied it multiple times. It had cut into the pop ups about 50% I'd say. I then used the thicker one to coat the hookbait or pellets etc.
My conclusion after a full seasons use was that in my case at least it made absolutely no difference to my catch rates what so ever.
I did however end up with pink stained hands for a season.
I know that's just one angler over one season but it convinced me enough that whatever it's made from wasn't worth shelling out 11 quid a pop for.

I'm sure you know the answer so probably best not to try and create an argument that doesn't need to be had.
If you are still not sure, yes they do. Boilies catch without Goo also.
Simple really..

clearly they do. I've witnessed it myself when a friend caught on a goo soaked hookbait.
Personally for me it's an overpriced bottle of rubbish that I see no real benefit in, expect changing the buoyancy of your hookbait. I've yet to hear of a water getting slayed by goo baits whilst others cant catch. It simply isn't the case.
Much better liquids to use on your baits imo.

Tnx for the answer. I really like Isotonic, specially on silt.

Huh?
I made a comment to the OP about Goo on a thread about Goo?
Gubzy, I would just give a couple of things a go. Buy a bottle of whichever Goo you like the look of and see if you catch on the hookbaits you put it on. If you do and it gives you confidence then carry on using it. If not try something new.
It's all part of the fun messing about.

He asked if it was the same as oil glug or liquid actually.
And you made two remarks definitely aimed at me.
