I have a anatac catamaran with Toslon TF 640. Was wondering if it was worth the upgrade to add the x pilot to my boat.
Curious how accurate the gps is and if worth the price tag over just manual driving the boat out to the gps locations found on the TF 640.
My boat is in for a service so now would be the time for me to add it if I was ever going to do it so any input would be appreciated

I've got the X pilot and love it.
For me it's not just navigating to the same spot although that's the obvious main reason for it, but the home button is a great addition . Just select home once the rig/bait has been dropped and get the rod all set up on the buzzer etc whilst the boat brings it's self home.
As for accuracy I'd say it's within 3 - 4' each time but others may say different?

Had one for a few years. Brilliant kit and accurate to plus or minus a metre (confirmed with a marker float). Its been out to 165 metres but some have had it further

For me personally also with basiairs with no lip on spools i hate nothing more when my line coils under the spool using my boat. This way you can always have your rod to hand without driving the boat.

They're just so good aren't they? Saves so much agro. Went through two of those silly Ridgemonkey things before someone gave me the tip on here about the Tackle Box alternative. Fantastic bit of kit and worth every single penny

Got an Xpilot on my SB3 and absolutely love it, accurate to about a meter and love the home button, all in all a fantastic bit of kit, easy to use, works as intended.

I have the x pilot on my rt4. Great bit of kit and very accurate. It is particularly useful when you want to put your bait back out to a saved spot at night. I remember the first time I set it off in darkness - bit scary seeing your £2k boat disappearing into the darkness driving itself and wondering if it will stop!!

And it worked a treat didn't it
Get to the spot... countdown in distance from target, drop your bait then press home...... No brainer.... I borrowed an SB3 with the system.. .came home and ordered an rt4 with the system... Brilliant.

How do you programme the spots ? Is it as simple as driving your boat out to a desired boat and then somehow marking the position on the unit .
I've looked on you tube but the only decent ones I could find on how to set it up and mark the spots on the unit are in French/Italian etc etc
