I've got approximately 4 kilo of sweetcorn in my freezer which has been in there since before covid and I tried to use some this week but it all floated, can anyone advise me on how I can make it sink? If not I think it will all go into the food mixer for tench groundbait.
Thanks in advance
P.S. the only good thing about it is that I have plenty of corn pop ups!!!

Let it thaw out completely then soak it in lake water or some liquids until saturated again. When you freeze the water in the kernels expands, when it thaws it can leave pockets of air that make it float. You just need to fill up those pockets of air.

Easy fix, just turn the lake upside down.

A number of particle baits float when still frozen, best bet is to thaw them out first.
If you freeze prepared particles in water they will float until the ice has returned to liquid state.
I've had the same with frozen sweetcorn, I pour it into a bucket from the bag, add a bit of Shellfish extract and top it off with warm water.
Most or all should then sink

I would have thought ice floating was a given, but you never know on here

Don't tell anyone, but I have been known to mix gravel in with my prepped particles and water before freezing to get them to sink. 50% mix of particles and driveway gravel.
Break the ice mix from the bucket, wade or boat out, tip and go.

Unfrozen sweetcorn that sinks naturally seems more straightforward
