Looking to see what rods and reels everyone is using. Looking to change my setup . Have been considering the shimano tx intensity in 12ft matched with a shimano Ultegra Spod.

I've got the Torrix coming. Ordered one for spodding and another for marker work. Should be done in about 6 to 8 weeks time. Just ordered the Shimano TXA Spod for my son today as he's got a set of TX2's. Very nice for the money.

I just bought a CFX in 13ft to replace my 12ft Aviator Spod.

I have the 12'6 Aviators and I find that they are a good compromise between fishing rod and casting rod. They really are effortless to cast but still nice and light and will bend into a fish. (Or fishless raft of weed in my case)

The 12ft aviator Spod was too pokey for me. I could cast a midi spomb further with my fishing rods. For me the longer and softer CFX works better.

The Torrix rods up to 3lb are still very nice rods, anything above that and in my opinion the Aviators are better in every way.

I have the fox LR spomb rod and Ultegra spod reel, I'd recommend

I've got the same set up.

I've considered getting the free spirit spomb rod, maybe worth investigating.
