I have seen the odd video floating around on social media, obviously she enjoys it, and that all that matters, but I must admit, as a father, posting videos up for randoms online to view is something I wouldnt be prepared to do with my daughter. Horses for courses I suppose

In a way, I tend to agree.
I also have no doubt that she will, or already has been earmarked for financial gain from companies.

It's nice for them to record their fishing

It's great the little girl enjoys fishing but it feels a bit like the Dad is using her love of fishing in exchange for some free swivels and a hoody.

Understand exactly what you guys mean, and unfortunately, the good comes with the bad
In this day and age, parents tend to "groom" their young`uns, at an early age, to excel at whatever sport they choose to proceed with, be it tennis, golf, footy etc. The outcome isn´t just for fame or financial gain, but that seems to have taken over completely, unfortunately. 
True sportsmanship has gone out the window, replaced by 6-7figure contracts I enjoyed watching footy, way back, when the likes of Glenn Hoddle, Ossie Ardilles, Ricky Villa, Keegan etc had the crowd on their feet. Then came the bookies fixed matches, modelling sideshows etc. Money corrupted the sport 
Young´uns flashing Patek Philippe and Rolex watches, and speeding in Lykan Hypersports, Bentley Mulliner Bacalars, Ferrari Monzas etc, of which some of em can´t even spell properly 
That´s all left a bad taste in me mouth, and i no longer watch footy as much as i used to ... sad state of affairs.
There´s a fine line, when it comes down to "pimping" your young´un on social media, or documenting your kids progression and love for the sport. Unfortunately, social media decides which group you fit into, once the light shines on you. Nowadays flippin´ influencers are getting paid millions for advertising crap, and high profile carp anglers are getting free hooks and munga
Sofie seems to be enjoying her sport, and if someone decides to "support" her in her future progression, then it´s upto dad to make a wise decision

Got to admit I find it a bit awkward just feel it's more the dad pushing her for the game than actually her

You can clearly see she absolutely loves it, the dad's supportive, clearly loves fishing too, there's no harm in what they're doing, it's a breath of fresh air, I think pimping the daughter out is a bit strong. They've built a following and they get given free stuff, same as any other free sponsorship.

I think you're being a touch naive about it, once pictures and videos are uploaded, they are essentially online forever. The world is a horrible place and so is social media, probably even worse, with truly horrible people lurking in the depths.
Personally I dont see why the dad just doesn't share the pics and videos with family and friends, I genuinely cant see what the benefit is by sharing it in multiple fishing groups

nothing wrong with being pushed in outdoor activities.. to many kids suffer because of being stuck in houses all their time.

And she wouldn't get the opportunities that she's had? Off the top of my head, they fish some pretty exclusive waters, she's fished with the England woman's team and gets free stuff, she might even get a bit of pocket money out of it too. It's hardly a chore for her and she loves it.
I can't see how it's any different to any competitive sport and children competing.

Internet trolls would be my concern, but maybe kids are used to that kind of thing these days.
