As above has anyone used it and does it do what it says on the bottle.

yes ive used it and also gardner flouro treatment, both seem to work similarly, but i found the gardner one helps the line cut through surface and sink slightly easier. in terms of distance i dont have anything exact but 10pct may be a good guess

Jim Gibbinson tested it and said that it improved abrasion resistance and casting distance. That is good enough for me. I I have used it on flouro and mono and it certainly makes lines more manageable.

You do gain slight distance but nothing major.. what I use it for is when the dreaded fluf is all over the lake.. its a game changer for keeping the line clean and sinking through it. Massive edge

Used it since is came out, improves casting distance ( a little bit), but more importantly, it improves the overall handling and longevity of monos.

I am a huge fan of silicone line lubricants. However, you can buy same/similar from several outlets free of Carp Tax. The clue is in the product description!

Greased Lightning definitely improves the line life and seems to slow the build up of dirt on the line.

Were those abrasion tests done on dry line, dry objects, or wet lines and objects under water?

Remember my friends using it, testing it, and saying it washed off under water. As you would expect.

Very good product. Does what I need it to do.

I can't remember. They were in his Carpworld columns 20 years ago but Jim was usually pretty thorough.
