If you was going for a top end set of alarms what would you go for. The wolf QIs , Delks or the Nash r4s. Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.

I have to admit I am tempted by the Wolf Alarms. I'm still not sure exactly how they combine vibration and roller wheel though. The website spec has a load of waffle but no specific explanation. Is the vibration sensed through the roller wheel? Does the line go over a wheel and a piezo sensor? Is it done with IR?

I have had the Delks and couldn't get on with them. I much preferred the Txi plus and original Txi to the Txi d. I now have the Wolf Qi and have had them since they first came out. They have been 100% reliable in all weathers and have great build quality. The features are many and easy to use. Having had most high end alarms, these are my keepers.

I really rate my Ntxrs which I guess are the evolution of the modern day RX pluses but I probably wouldn't use them in the freezing cold as I've seen people with the wheels frozen in artic conditions, not that I ever fish in such conditions, fair weather angler and all that. I'd probably use my Txi Ds for that which I have no doubts about their effectiveness whatsoever. If you are paying north of 500 notes for a set of top end alarms you do want total confidence.
