Looked at this the weekend was tempted But is it really worth the £200 price tag ?
I have loads of there stuff, and haven't been disappointed with any of it.

Have a look at the actual snugpak stuff, might be cheaper for similar items.

Gore-Tex is not the only waterproof and breathable fabric available, it's just the brand name people know. Plenty of alternatives around now. For example Snugpak's Paratex Dry, which the outer layer on the Torrent is made from.

I paid £40 for army gortex dpm jacket and ive had it over 15 years and ive never once been wet in it. Its the best £40 ive ever spent. Ive got the matching pants as well and they were only £30, so £70 for a full 100% waterproof gortex suit is a bargain. I wouldnt use anything else in the rain when fishing. I own a £400 mammut gortex pro jacket for my hiking and its just as waterproof as that but the mammut is a lot lighter for walking.

I've actually got a dpm army gortex had it about 10 yrs & same as never let me down just its a bit boxy & the Fortis is very nice But do I really need it and is it worth it from what i saw probably over priced but a Quality garment, carp tax . Think i will probably go for it lol .

For me i like the bit of stretch in it, the hood fitted great over a hat and the cut suited me better than army goretex.
It is not worth £150 more though.
But i deserved a treat, and have not regretted it.

How does the marine jacket come up size wise ? I have several fortis items including SJ9 and all are large and fit perfect . Also how does the sizing work regarding adding the liner - do you go up a size to allow for this ? Is the liner under the jacket suitable for winter or would it need to go over the SJ9? Thanks in advance for any help 👍

Am after the same but just waiting and hoping to walk in to a tackle shop when down country and try them on to make sure I get what's comfortable

You can buy a waterproof outer jacket handmade in the UK for £3 more from mountain-method.co.uk. I'm pretty sure they'll make it exactly to your measurements as well if you contact them.
