I think that rumour is always going to be flying about due to there connection. Korda are starting to make in roads into other areas of the buisness. So why not bait.Time will tell I suppose.

Korda have tie ups with the likes of Daiwa, Trakker and Jag and Mainline is their "preferred" bait Company.

Korda will distribute all of Mainlines products from February 1st , I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing for the tackle shops looking at how much Korda ask them to stock of their tackle.

Essentially creating a monopoly of sorts.
Give it another ten years, will be interesting to see if people still have the same views regarding their movements.

Is one view. Another one is maybe Kev and Steve want to step back from the business side and do the more enjoyable bits.
Not much different from the link up with Sticky and Thinking Anglers but because DF is involved people start getting emotional.
It makes sense to me. And I'm not a sure you can call one big tackle company distributing one big bait company's products a monopoly. In fact you can't, it's not a monopoly.

I believe they finished them,to order sticky baits and TA gear for a shop you have to send your order via email now.They used to have reps who shops could deal with but not now

No idea who whores out to who these days to be honest, stopped watching the company promo carp fishing videos a while back. I heard the TA bloke on a podcast talking about how they teamed up with Sticky for warehousing and distribution.
Again, it makes sense business wise to lose the old fashioned shop to shop consultant sales. Pay your faces to go fishing, film it, push it all over the internet and the customers will tell the shops what they want.

About 10 or so years ago bumped into them wandering about the Zwolle show on the Saturday around midday they had both came over to work the stand no other bods with them, I was helping on another stand with a mate and we had gone to get a bite to eat, my mate who has known them for Donkeys years said to them "what are you pair doing wandering about the show" "both come for the Jolly" was their response, "what just you pair" said my mate "yeah just for the crack" Kev replied
We could see their stand through the big door in the next hall there was no one tending to it, so my mate said "if your wandering about the halls who's tending to the stand" their response was and I quote... "**** it they don't want to buy our bait when they can buy the euro **** at a few euros a kilo it's been crap" my mate then said "if your stand hasn't got anyone minding it ain't you bothered they will be nicking your bait".
Steve's response was "save us loading it back onto the lorry and take it back with us they want it they can have it".
We stood talking for about fifteen minutes and when we left them they were heading into the next hall where they would have no chance of seeing their stand, I would say laid back more than stepped back I got the feeling money is of no concern.

Dont think I've ever seen a Mainline stand at a show only what various companys have had on there's.. I think there association with Korda is all they need to keep the money rolling in..
