Any one got any info that they can let me know what they are like to use its the 12ft 3.6tc I'm looking at getting are they a stiff rod or are they a all-rounder

I have the 12'6 Aviator plus. For me they are still a casting rod, but a very good one. More tippy than through action, but for a rod that can put a lead a long way without too much fuss the action is decent. A big improvement on the Torrix.

They are quite stiff in the butt section,not used the 12's but I have the 12ft6 and the 13's.Nice rods but not as nice to play fish on as some of the other Harrison rods,these are more for distance fishing but still feel OK under the tip

I have the 12ft 3.6lb ones. Really happy with them. I had a set of torrix 3.25lb for about 12 years, and decided the time was right for new rods. The aviators are a stiffer rod than the torrix for sure, definitely more distance focused, but not an proper casting rod. They are still ok for playing fish, but if thats a consideration the flex may be better. My torrix are now my smaller water set, and the aviators are for when im fishing anywhere bigger, but ill still happily fish the margins with them

I ordered my rods yesterday at Johnson Ross Tackle. I tried the Torrix 3 1/4tc, the equivalent Torrix TE Specials 12.5's and had a look at the Aviators. The Aviators and TE Specials are both nice rods but stiff in the butt and forgiving in the first 3/4 of the tip section. The Torrix were lovely and had a much more playable action in the rod in my opinion.

Anthony and Matt were really helpful. They explained that if you wanted to lob a medium to heavy pva bag then the TE or the Aviators could still do it in the right hands but the Torrix 3 1/4 would struggle. If I can cast 130yards with the Torrix then I'll only get about 80 to 90 yards with a medium or large PVA bag. It will still cast almost 130 yards with a small pva or mesh stick though. I went for the the Torrix 3 1/4 in the end. Anthony reckons Vic should have them done in about 8 weeks time. Can't bloody wait.

Been to my local tackle shop today and had a good look at a pair and put a order in for a set I will mostly be useing them for solid bag work

I remember telling my wife she was a good all rounder when we were dating over 20 years ago. That didn't go down well at all. She still throws it up at me every now and again. 🤣
