Just interested to know Do many people use single sticks anymore or are buzz bars with sticks more popular or does the majority of people use a pod

Sticks or sticks and bars, depending on the swim. Wouldn't use a pod unless it was on something like a metal staging where sticks or stage stands can't be used. Honestly can't see any advantage over sticks other than that so why so many use them as a matter of course is strange imo (or some kind of fashion statement looking at some of the pics posted here )

How do you get the sticks in the ground do you use a mallet as the banks t fish are full of stones

Get a decent stick and they can be driven into almost anything! 👍🏼

Hell no, decent sticks will go in nomatter what some people say, especially if you have a digging stick to predrill the ground (or excavator type sticks)

I've always used buzz bars, but I've recently moved back to individual sticks and find it so much more versitile. I would never use a pod, ever, there is always a way round it.

One of the advantages of single sticks, is...... I wouldn't call myself a tart, but it makes me feel uncomfortable if all my indicators aren't level. I know that's stupid, but I doubt I'm alone. Sometimes you may need one rod on a tight line, and 2 not. And on a buzz bar that drives me crazy for reasons unknown.

With individual sticks, you can spread that irritating one different rod away from the others. And it brings me slight inner peace not seeing it close to the other rods.

Maybe I'm just weird.

I use a pod no matter what the ground is like where I'm fishing........I find it easier and less faffing around with single sticks........

Hard ground isn't really the worst issue, soft ground like deep sand or shingle is worse and that's when I will use a pod but never bothered with stage stands as the pod will do both.

I've tried single sticks but they are more irritating imho than buzz bars trying to get the sticks in line and all level

The common ones don't mind but the higher class ones do

Me to, its all ive ever used. From walking around most lakes pods seem to be all that people seem to use these days.
