I'm after a decent weighting tripod, what are people using and what are your options on the one you have?

Nash is the kiddy just heavy to lug around if you have too

I have the Daiwa one.
Legs fold in half meaning it packs down short.
Doesn't weigh much either.

Sometimes it can be a pain to hang the scales on the hook at the top, you have to twist the hook so the opening isn't facing one of the legs. Minor gripe though.

I got it for £25

I use the Cygnet jobby as it is more adjustable / versatile than the other offerings from Daiwa etc I.E uneven ground .

Weighed Cats to 131lb with no issues.

Got the Fox one, packs down small. Does what it's meant to

Think mine is either Sabre or NGT? Either way didnt cost a bomb,solid and does whats needed well enough for anything im going to land in the UK.

Agree - I have the cygnet tripod - cheap as chips and does the job well

I like you picked up the Daiwa one second hand and pleased with it.
Got round having to turn the hook between the legs by putting a snap clip on the scales loop and then no more issues.
