Any recommendations, rather spend the least I can (I'll probably sit on them) , but will pay whatever if its really worth it.

I've got a pair of fortis Bays in brown and honestly wasn't impressed by them at all. The lenses scratch really easily. I guess they are cheap enough it doesn't matter, but i never found them that good either.

I've never been a fan of brown lenses, I use the ambers year round. Like you I prefer cheap and cheerful as it won't be the end of the world if they go off the side of the boat.

For the money the Nash amber lense are pretty good. Not as good as my Maui Jims but having lost three pairs in the drink over the last few years I tend to stick with cheap pairs.

i got a pair of the fortis switch overwrap ones as i need to wear glasses.
are they any good i guess so but not as game changing the adverts would make you believe.
alot of the waters i fish are rather murky so.

and the switch lens is a compromise. if they do a set of yellow i might take a punt for the winter
