Hi guys, I am looking at selling my Deeper and someone has offered to buy via FB and is looking to use Chronopost for the transaction. Apparently I will get a delivery with the cash and then they will collect the parcel from me. Now the order of me getting cash before needing to part with the goods sounds fine but I have never heard of this service before and reading up on it they seem to be predominantly in France so wondering if anyone on here has had any experience of this service at all? Maybe I'm being a little cautious but sometimes if it sounds too good to be true it turns out to be the case

I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole if I'm honest. PayPal is so easily accesssible, anyone offering to use something different raises a red flag.

But that's just me!

That's my initial thoughts as well but if it works as been explained to me the risk is relatively contained which is why I'm seeing if anyone has experience of it

I think to you there is little risk but I would check the cash is real before parting with the goods
There was a thing on bbc this morning fraudsters are giving fake money on selling places

You have to ask yourself why they wouldn't just use PayPal. It sounds like a scam to me.

There has been a scam like this going on for a while. If you agree they ask you to pay upfront to cover the insurance or something first, and say they will reemburse you.

There's absolutely no reason anyone can't use PayPal in 2021.

Cheers guys. It really did get my Spidey senses going so glad I asked the question. I've just said no to the guy on FB so see if he is legit and comes back with a PayPal offer. Thanks for the feedback
