Does anyone know any syndicates around Surrey/Hampshire close to Aldershot that haven't got a ridiculous waiting list? With all the new ‘covid' anglers that have popped up, it seems impossible to get on any syndicate. Spend a lot of my time on Yateley Match with FAS but sadly that lake has been ruined by the poor fishery management!!

Do a few day tickets on hollybush pit three and speak to Tony the bailiff about going on the waiting list there, probably be a year or two but well worth it and mega local to you.

Sorry buddy, with regards to FAS, what do you mean my poor fishery management myself? I see a good few complaints about the dye etc, but I didn't know the lakes previous to joining this year.
I only ask as interested, with Match a lake I was maybe looking at fishing next year, currently looking at the winter on Stillwater

The dye is a start, but they've got a bit chainsaw happy and cut loads of tree's down. Doesn't look how it used to. Also a fish kill on a few of the yateley lakes losing a lot of big named carp. Was put down to old age but i think there's more to it. A lot of the yateley regulars who fished it when Cemex owned it are now long gone. I'm sure if you join the unofficial FAS page on Facebook you will find all what's been happening on the complex.
I literally live a 2 minute walk from Stillwater, doing the winter on there myself. A lot of nice carp in there. The only bad thing is with it being next to the Basingstoke canal, there's a massive rat problem. So try and keep your swim tidy, otherwise you'll find you will have a sleepless night with rats running around and inside your bivvy!

Thanks for the advice buddy. I had a couple of nice fish out the other day, and have since seen a few pics of some lovely fish that are in there.
Id seen mentions of the fish kill, unfortunately I've also heard so many different numbers with regards to how many was lost, I have no idea whether it was a fish kill or just a few dying.
I do see a lot of people complaining, I just wasn't sure if it was your typical social media type, or whether it was warranted lol

i thought/read/heard that hollybush was being changed and backfilled?

Devils Lane the embryo water? I got a ticket after about 6 months on the list but gave it up after the first year. What's made it so popular?

They shut the list as the numbers on it got really long. Friend of mine has had a ticket from the start, fish doing very well in there it seems.
Like a lot of places currently, people tend to not drop tickets, even if they hardly fish them. I know Black Swan had a full renewal, and onTheale1 only 1 dropped.
I think that you could get into St George's almost straight away though.

St George's have reduced the syndicate size and put the cost up. It was ridiculous, I turned up on 3 occasions and was unable to get a carpark space let alone a swim, dropped my ticket after a year, as a joke
