I think my Fox Defender has had its day... its served me well so I can't complain. I'm after recommendations for a replacement :-)
42" is enough I think.

Chris brown carbon or glass net depends on your budget. I wouldnt buy anything else. Ive had just about every top end net on the market including 3 dymag nets and i always go back to my chris brown net.

Have the glass version of Chris' net,they really are a no nonsense net and built to last, also an E-Class net,very slim and light enough,tho the mesh is very very deep I think.Both very easy to break down.

I've had a matrix bulldog for 10 years +, not cheap but brilliant quality. Circa £180 these days I think.
I have the matrix 3k camo and love it.
Light and easy to break down. Had a freespirit s net before and whilst it was light it was a sod to breakdown with a fish in.

Thanks guys! I'm probably going to set my budget as £100. So the Trakker options are more tempting
I've heard about the EQ before, that's the Trakker go-to isn't? Does it need a net float - and what's it like breaking down when you're moving a fish?

I have this net also and changed from a free spirit s net
Much easier to break down, the s net was a right pain

I have this and its very good, need to be a bit rough with arms to release them though when you have a fish in net

I had the EQ. Net broke at the Spreader block, wouldn't buy again. Got the Solar Bow Lite now and seems very good. Easy to take down once you get the hang of it and nice and light.

Matrix nets are a doddle mate.

My Chris Brown net is easy to break down. Certainly easier than my Rod Hutchinson net. Not saying that's not a good net too.
