Hi all has anyone tried to fit a kind of skull cap or peak to a Titan hide xl
Really like the bivvy but fed up with getting the front area wet when it rains.
Thought about trying to modify a skull cap to suit
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

You could do a lot worse,and get a DD tarp or a grade one dpm 7x8ft military tarp, four guide ropes and a couple of suitable length bivvy sticks ,very easy to do ..
Makes a nice covered door way ,you can sit under if the wind doesn't push the rain into you..

Thanks. Will look into it. Frustrating that it's the only thing that I can fault with it and there is no fix especially as all of the titans are the same

Why not buy the Titan hide xl overwrap with letterbox storm door. £180 or the £54 infill panel with same door. Either should solve the problem.

Cotswold Aquarius make a skull cap for the standard Hide, I'm sure if you asked them they would price you up for an XL....although knowing them it won't be cheap!

Can't understand why Nash didn't bring out a with their new releases 2 different type of wraps with the new model hide pro models a skull cap with a peak and 3/4 skull wrap cap with a peak copying the ideas from trakker would be so much better . Their would be a big market for them that's for sure

I have the standard hide and would love it if they produced an extended wrap like the old titans and or the tempest version(half extended wrap) for the odd occasion you need more cover/space. I currently have an extended wrap made for an abode bivvy (pramhood style) that fits well to extend it.

I suppose to be fair to them the Hide range is supposed to be a brolly style shelter rather than a full blown bivvy....that's where the Titan comes in.
The new model with superior material, a much better vapour shield and a peak are great improvements which mean you can use it for probably 90% of the time, reverting to a full blown bivvy, (if that's your thing) in the depths of winter.

I've got the standard xl, no issues with the rain coming in, I just zip the door up till it stops.
