For £4.50 I can get access for a month to the scanned maps of my local area, I've just looked and most of the lakes I fish have already been 100% scanned. Most are weed free. Why would I not sign up. Print the maps off then not renew my membership.

Depends when they where scanned. Looking weed free in the winter or 4years ago dont mean they are now. But it would be a great guide for depth and distance.

yes you can but they are NOT the maps that people have uploaded to Lakebook. Deeper take all of that data and shove out a general average with no detail. I was livid when this was first announced thinking that anyone could have access to my data - totally wrong.
I calmed down when I saw how far out the maps were.
Personally I wouldn't bother. Save up, buy a Deeper and get your own accurate data.

Not worth it mate 100% not right on my local lakes, some of them are completely different to my scans. Basically one lake is about 5/6 foot deep but the “pre scans” done on this is saying it's 10/12ft more than double and the same depth across the whole lake. Some are right apparently but a few lakes I've been to are completely wrong
As luck would have it I managed to snag a deeper chirp +2 on one of the giveaway sites. As did my mate 6 days later.
They're a lot smaller than I expected, bite size if you will, they look like a target for pike.
Has anyone had any issues with this, I'm thinking a 2 foot 44lb titanium trace above it.

I've not had it happed although I've heard from other blokes they are a real tease for pickles. Defo worth getting a titanium trace, got one myself 👍

Yeah I got a metal trace off eBay for mine just not worth the risk tbh

2nd time I used mine on the river a snapper had a go at it ! but I use 50lb braid with a short plastic coated wire trace I have seen 2 Deeper`s float by one being chased by an angler cant believer people chucking £200 around with line below 50lb

Luckily enough mine cost me 17.99 😂 but it's still going on a 5lb spod rod with 80lb braid and a 44lb trace. I've double crimped the trace and tucked the tag end too. Gave it a serious pull, I'd cry if I lost the deeper.
