Hi All,
Just popped out the front of the house for a smoke and saw the most brilliant orange shooting star.
Brought back so many memories of so many sessions in so many different swims and waters for me
Not sure why, but I just wanted to share....

And why not share, great experience when they suddenly appear.I would see a few each year when fishing in the West of Ireland, no light pollution there and some of the views are spectacular.

Almost crashed a truck I was driving years ago abroad when I huge green flash lit up the sky and streaked across the windscreen. Best I've ever seen.

Fishing in the french mountains, that's what I think of when/if I ever see one. Every time I'm out there I see them, perfect clear sky's, zero light pollution. If only I was there now.........

Advanced filters allow imaging in the most light-polluted cities nowadays. This is my rig for deep sky imaging and observation, and it is worth every penny. But if something ever happens to me tell my wife not to sell it for what I told her it cost.
The Draconid meteor shower will peak 8-9 October so keep your eyes peeled into the heavens if you're in the northern hemisphere.
