Looking for a new bedchair around the £200. I have narrowed it down to one of these two.
The DPM lover in me has won, but! I am open to other options that are not DPM if they are an overall better bed.
Any opinions are very welcome and appreciated !

Had both and didn't like either but if your struck on either one then go for it but I wouldn't discount the avid Benchmark Lite or the Benchmark memory foam other makes also available

Well that's not a good start haha !
The avids didn't cross my mind to be honest and I have seen them in the past. Il have a look at the price and availability. I know the wychwood tacticals are looking hard to get hold of at the minute.

I have the Wychwood Tactical in standard size coupled with a Gardner Carp Duvet Compact. I find it brilliant and sleep on both my side and back. The bag folds up inside. The bed on its own is quite light weight too especially in comparison to my old JRC Specialist. Like you said though, hard to come by at tbe moment

Yeah I will also be using a Gardner duvet plus hence the DPM bed choices haha style over substance and all that !
But on a serious note I don't mind switching substance for style if there's a better bed in the price range. I'd just seen these two and they looked good.
Yeah no stock in the main shops from what I can find, there is a couple knocking about on eBay from some smaller shops though.

I have the Wychwood Tactical X compact, with a Mountain Equipment Helium 3.8 mens SIM and use the Gardner Carp Duvet compact.
I find this combination very comfy and warm, the SIM made a massive difference.
I am 6 foot and 16 stone, his is perfect for sleeping on your back and on your side, even in the fetal position the bed is big enough that i do not touch the frame.
I used to use my Nash Indulgance SS3 Wideboy sleep system, but needed to reduce weight and bulk from the items I take.
The Tactical is 6Kg, the duvet and sim weigh 4Kg approx, compared to the 20Kg of the Nash.

I have both Trakker Superlite and Wychwood Tactical Compact .... The Trakker is the better built and more comfortable bedchair imo

I have done a bit more looking into them and it does appear that the trakker gets good feedback overall. I think at the minute I'm leaning more towards that bed if I'm honest.
I may even add the SIM to it if it makes as much difference as people say!

I have the supalite, coupled with a sim (makes a.big difference)...and gardner duvet bag....the perfect combination, light, comfy and warm in the winter...

have you got the new Wychwood tactical X with adjustable lumbar support ?
or the lighter earlier pre 2019 model ?
as its my understanding the tactical X is a vast improvement on the original apart from its 1kg heavier

last season i wanted a light weight bedchair bought a wychwood compact tactical x lumber support later model and hated it, it was far to firm for me even with the elastics fully loosened off, i also tried it with my sim which improved it but not enough, i thought i would get on with it as my main bed is the trakker levelite lumber support which i find very comfy without the sim.
i sold the tactical x on and bought a supalite bedchair which for me is comfier than the wychwood but was improved further when paired with the sim

and how we all want different things from beds so when people ask for recommendations you will get conflicting advice
I used the ELS bedchair and loved it because it was really firm
just like my extra firm orthopaedic mattress on my bed at home then I wanted to cut down on weight so bought the 2019 Wychwood compact tactical x lumber support model

to further cut down on weight I used my Snugpak Techlite this was great until the winter but with a bitter north wind blowing in the bivvy
(( I never have my bivvy door closed or bag zipped up )) my back felt cold so to insulate I bought a SIM and surprisingly not only did it transform the warmth it improved the comfort level something I never would have though possible
so to sum it up I like a bed thats as firm as possible I want it DRUM TIGHT thats why I love the Wychwood tactical X

Yes we are all different and prefer different things, my levelite is the lumbar bed and not the els, i previously did have a normal levelite which i replaced the elastic for paracord but this was no where near as comfy for me as the newer lumbar bed,
i just thought the wychwood tactical x was a step to far for firmness

Yes Gerry, it just shows how one bed is comfortable for one person and not for another.
I suppose just like beds at home we all have different needs.
Im a fairly light guy at 13 stone and 6ft 1. I have a full memory foam mattress at home which is quite soft so based on feedback the wychwood may just be a bit too stiff for me.
Im also struggling to find one in stock so will probably go for the superlite.
