Looking at getting shot of my els and snugpack combi and go for a system.
narrowed it down to the solar spc and the flatliner 6 leg.
both have 5season rated bags apart from smooth and fleece lined are there any differences in thermal quality?
Any pro's and con's from owners of these systems?

I have the mk2 flatliner 6 leg with 3 season sleeping bag use it all year round and find it plenty warm enough without any top layer

The flatliner is a great bed I also have the 3 season bag, the 5 was just excessive. The only down side for me is it's quite tall without the legs being extended. But that is the only small criticism

This question appears almost daily on numerous boards, facebook pages and so on. The final consensus is usually that the solar bed is in a league of its own.

I owned the solar c tech when they first came out .... I didn't find the bed that comfortable for sleeping on your side

Not saying I agree, I have no experience with the Solar one. I do read quite a bit of messages and I have read hardly anything but good reviews.

I had the same with mine but after a couple of session (around 10-14 nights) it seems to soften a touch and "bed in" and is far easier to sleep on your side.
Honestly the beds are great - literally changed my fishing in that I wake up without a bad back or hip and feel like i have actually slept.

Was delivered last week. So far I've only done two nights on it. Best two nights sleep I've had on the bank. Not only sleep, but sitting on it all day too. No elastics makes a monstros difference. I have a Mountain Equipment sim on it. I only sleep on my side.

I have got the solar bed with the fortis bag best combination I have used.The solar bed is so well made,its heavy but worth it imo

Always made do with being uncomfortable spending 7 years in the army I've never put comfort as a main concern. But I've been doing more fishing than I ever have and I thought the fox Flatliner was fairly good until it was time to replace. I replaced it with the solar sp tech system and honestly it's superb. I've genuinely never thought you could have that much comfort on the bank. I would highly recommend
A friend whom purchased an Avid Bench Mark after seeing mine upgraded to the Solar non sleep system bed chair he was so pleased with it he couldn't help him self show me and wow what a decent bit of kit. The bench mark imo good as long as you raise the middle legs. I do like having a 4 leg bedchair however I am tempted and when funds permit may get one. My bucket list is long longing to upgrade my 25 year old Dynavector Karat cartridge being a must goal.
