Paracord diameter depends on the size of the holes on your net loads on the bay

Spliced leadcore if you're on the bank, lengthened mine on the bank years ago and still going strong

I plaited 3 lengths of leadcore together when mine broke on the bank, That was 10 years ago and still going strong 😉

I replaced the crappy pike trace wire of a Chris Brown net with the cord off a roller blind,spliced the ends and covered them with some silicone tube.Much better.

leadcore for me too.. lasts forever.

Paracord for me - always carry a few feet of it, as you never know when you'll need it; having the draw-cord go west mid way through a session is not what you want. It's so cheap that one purchase should last you forever (Amazon). I melt down the ends with a lighter, after knotting it of course.
