Hi all,
can anyone recommend some heavyish PTFE bobbins which i can put an isotope in, with a ball clip at the top and attach to a solar chain? 2ozs or more I guess. Custom tackle have some but are on the light side.

I had some custom made PTFE bobbins made by Dobbins Bobbins on FB, I went with the ball bearing clip integral to the head (like slap heads). You can contact him through FB/Messenger and disscuss your requirements, I am pleased with mine well made can have isotope slot milled in mine fit MCF chains but can be made to fit other threads.

Buy some PTFE Teflon White Round Rod off Ebay, a drill bit to fit the size of isotope your using along with a 2BA or M5 tap depending on what chains you are using, you would need a drill bit to fit the size of tap your using, but buy one a bit bigger for the isotope and that would suffice, and the World is your "Oyster" and you can make a great range of them to suit your requirements.
Its all I have done for years, just make my own indicators.

the cygnet ones look pretty interesting, but do come with chains and clips which isn't the end of the world. However as mentioned they are a bit thin on the ground, and cygnet don't appear to be easily contacted through traditional means!

I actually contacted keith first who told me he did not work with PTFE as in his opinion the thread for the chain in PTFE was easily stripped. I chose to look for an alternative producer cant see the problom with that? As the paying customer surely I should get what I want copy or not?

The fact Keith declined the work because the material has been made obsolete would suggest they were inferior before they started
