HI anyone had the P1 sod pod and the P1 worldwide next to each other for a comparison? Is there really any difference other than the uprights? The Sod pod looks like it has a nice locking design to stop buzz bar rotation. Any recommendations / thoughts as i am not really used to using a Pod but a new venue has platforms so might be in need for one?

I have the P1 pod and you do need a firm hand on the actual main bar locking mechanism, and to make sure you do the knurled buzz bar lock nuts up very tightly.
As a pod it is brilliant, the only criticism is it is possibly not quite long enough if you want your butt rings on the inside of the buzzers with the reels just in front of the rear buzz bars.
Also on wooden platforms you might find stage stands useful as 'permanently' fixing the pod down with bungees or ties can be a pain, just as easy to screw in stage stands. Fixing the pod is easy if there is chicken wire on top, a cable tie through holds it nicely.

I'd agree with Nick, I have the P1 Pod but on platforms prefer to use stage stands (I use Matrix)

I have pod both; Solar pod and Solar stage stands. Use stage stands on Syndicate if swim has a platform. Lot better security in the wind too as the south westerly wind does move my pod especially in winter.

I've used my Ww on stages for 11 years easily secured to boards more so the new P1 Ww as you have securing posts front and back. Couple of clips, parra cord and tent screws makes it's as secure as anything and as easy as stage stands and faster to move.
