Hi all

Iv purchased new reels and looking for recommendations on some new main line.

I used to use fox soft steel camo but the last spool I used seemed very stiff and didn't knot very well.

I was looking at sensor in 15lb but struggling to find any stock.

3rd vote for the ESP. It does everything I need of a line, sinks, casts well (I am not a long distance caster but it's fine up to the 100 yards I fish at most) and is very abrasion resistant

15lb Korda Subline - just the best. Low memory, great abrasion resistance, good knot strength, sinks and casts well. Good longevity too.

Thanks all, managed to grab the last ESP Syncro XT in my local shop

It says on the box to soak for 24 hours.

When spooling up is it label side up in the bucket?

I put mine in a plastic cereal container with it still sat in the water and have it coming from underneath the spool.ESP did a video on you tube showing how they recommend doing it

Agree with the Syncro XT. I've found it likes to be wet and performs & behaves much better that way. On one of the previous line threads someone gave a genius suggestion (sorry, I can't credit as I don't remember who it was), which was to get one of those wrist sweatbands, soak it, pop it round your spool before loading up/leaving home and by the time you're at the lake & set up, your line is ready to go.

Label side up or down has largely gone out of favour, let the spool spin
