Hi all - going to be doing some more home rolling (over and above hook baits and small mixes for winter fishing).

the Gardner air try trays seem to be discontinued which is what i used years back - any suggestions for an alternative?

So far i have seen the racks used for Air frying, or the framed net bags for drying things like herbs.

Dont need anything too industrial - will only be doing 6 egg mixes, or occasionally 12 egg.

Cheers, Tim

Mushroom trays, cheap if you need to buy them, probably free from the local cafe

Make a frame out of 2x1 wood or something like that and put some small square chicken wire mesh over it if you can't get mushroom trays or want something bigger

I use these when drying out my freezer boilies the day before I go - https://www.solentplastics.co.uk/15-litre-ventilated-euro-plastic-catering-stacking-container/ - 2 will hold 5kg nicely and then I normally put another over the top to stop the dogs from eating the bait.

Ebay for mushroom trays. I got about 20-25 of them for about twenty quid delivered. Handy as you can stack them.

I purchased a plastic gardeners sieve from ebay 6 quid delivered.

Its 35 cm wide.

B and Q, Wickes and Screwfix no doubt do something very similar possible in metal.

Mine is fine for a kilo of finished bait.

+1, that's what I use. You can buy a mesh panel for example from Wickes Click here and then frame it out, think I used 30x30mm timber and stapled the sheet to it..

If you intend filling the rack you may want to use a central support, and they stack better with one. Alternatively cut the panel in 2 and make 2 smaller ones.
