been thinking of getting the ridgemonkey bivvy or the oztent just for the height fedup of back ache it for my yearly week in france

Save your money and buy a Tempest 200. Absolutely massive (could get 3 bedchairs in easily) I'm not massively tall at 5'9 but can can pretty much stand straight up in it.
I took it out on a session with my lad last week, and was chatting to the bailiff about how it would be perfect for a week+ session.

Tempest 100t or Fox R Series Giant.
Tempest is obviously more compact but has the added height, 150cm door height.
The Fox is a monster, 2.1m of headroom so you can stand upright in it without issue.

Tempest 200 is a different kettle of fish to a normal Tempest. It's massive.

If it's just height you're having issues with the 100t is about as good as they come. The 200 is the sort of bivvy to use to keep your mrs happy when she goes

Another thumbs up for the Tempest 200. Its over 1.7m high, I'm 6-2 and apart from a small bend in the neck I can stand up inside it. Massive footprint though, its 3.75m wide, over 3m deep and you could erect a XD inside it.
Love mine but its reserved for big swims only.

cant believe buying a giant bivvy for a week 
I used to do 3 to to 3 French 14 day trips a year and occasionally 28 day sessions
I spent most of the time outside the bivvy only using it to sleep in unless it was peeing down and even then preferred sitting in my chair under a brolly next to my rods I was fishing not camping thats probably why I liked going on my own
