Why bother!? All it does is attract dickhead comments which results in arguing. I see it every day and wonder why people do this.
Much prefer to keep it private on my own feed and not public.
There's some real neg heads out there in the carp angling world, almost on the same level as abusing footballers based on their race

Equally as bad is naming venues or having a specific "urban" background which ruins the fishing for others when it is ultimately recognised by the chancers.
Got to keep the sponsors happy...

Unless you're a field tester, consultant, or hoping to become sponsored, there's no point in posting on social media. The negativity from some people just isn't worth it.

It's not only carp fishing it's pretty much every branch of our sport. Pike fishing is hilarious and don't mention bass.

That's the way forward for me, it's would soon level off all this bollox
People would be fishing because they love fishing, not to try and get a £1 off a kg of bait or a free packet of hooks

I never see why people post pictures in the generic carp pages anyway, what does it actually achieve? Posting pictures to random people you dont even know, all very odd to me

I'm saddened to say that this is very much a carp thing in my experience, although the pike anglers can be a bit strange as well.
I post loads of pics of fish, I'm fortunate to be able to travel the world fishing, ( well I used to
) and have a vested interest in people booking trips.
I can honestly say I have never received a negative comment in thousands of comments. I don't catch many carp nut something inside tells me that I probably wouldn't share them if I did.

My club water has a no publicty rule..... My syndi has a dedicated FB page and its as much for the chap running it to keep a tab on new /old fish progress as it is for the members to have bragging rights... In the two seasons ive been on there I have yet to see a negative post.. 👍 No one has an ego in need of a boost. From fly caught rudd, to pike, to any carp caught.. Theyre all welcome 😉
