Anyone have any experience with this? Looking at the trakker or similar amazon specials. The trakker has a bag though which would be handy to protect the rest of my gear from ash etc. Looks decent for the money but first hand reviews are always best

Can't comment on the Trakker bbq,but can point you in the direction of a smart non grass burning folding stainless bbq in a wax case.
Maybe check out the UCO,bbq and fire pit they do three sizes,I have the mini,but would have been happier with the standard,there a more than a few vids on YouTube on them..

It is awful. It melted at the seams on the first trip out. Second trip the metal distorted and it won't stand up straight. The mesh tray also distorted, meaning once you pull it out you cannot get it back in again (sounds like most of my exes)
Got a refund as not fit for purpose.

Asda normally do a small fold up briefcase style bbq around £20.The lid clips inside the legs so it can't fold up,had mine years and it's still going strong.

I've been using a yellowstone stainless bbq, folds flat, comes with a bag and is high enough off the ground it doesnt burn the grass.

Just my opinion
After watching an ozzy BBQ contest years ago and the experts talking about the total necessity for a lid on a BBQ
if your grill does not have a lid you end up with a burger , chicken ,sausage being over cooked on the outside and the inside often uncooked
simple reason the intense heat from the charcoal and especially if its windy the cold air cooling the top
now try it with a lid on it cooks far faster evenly cooked throughout and remains full of flavour not a burnt dried up lump of shyte !!
a great little grill that you can carry a bag of self lighting charcoal inside and produces proper cooked food cheap as chips too
ERRRR if you think the colour may affect your catch rate
you can buy green or black spray can stove paint
