im fishing a very weedy lake and could do with a robust line what can still be ok for casting, any thoughts? im using pb control 18lb which im not happy with.

The best casting lines are pre-stretched and pre-stretching impedes abrasion resistance. You're therefore just as well going for a decent all-rounder.

Synchro XT none loaded should be perfect in 15lb depending on distance needed

Probably that it's 0.30 and nowhere near 18lb BS. Same as the 24lb just happens to be the same diameter as most 15lb lines, and surprise surprise in the tacklebox line tests it breaks the same as them.

Yep, true! I like Berkeley CM90, doesn't seem to have a lot of stretch but it's tough enough to survive the rocky tidal Trent which is where I use it so it'll deal with weed no problems.
