His Cypography interview is superb. Utmost respect for the guy. Could've easily stayed at Korda, risk- free on a sure thing after years of hard graft cementing himself in the industry. Instead, decides to take on a huge challenge in his later years and go it alone. Massive respect for someone like this. Love his passion and desire to succeed and the way he has maintained a good relationship with Danny and Korda since breaking away. Could've quite easily gone the other way if it was handled differently.

I'm keen to see what he and his new company produces and what extra innovation it brings to the carp scene. It'll have to be top quality products at competitive prices although I think he'll do well. Or at least I hope he does well. I like the community angle by opening things up to those with creative minds and just his general vibe.

Never met the guy, but comes across well and hope it all works out for him. I'm confident it will with his commitment.

I agree, it's a good watch and want the guy to do well. I'm sure he will as he's a very driven and sure he'll succeed.

Yep, the interview made him come across very well, im very interested to see what he actually has planned for an already over saturated market.

I still hate Rob Huges though.

I'm not a fan of his on screen persona.However he is good at what he does and is a shrewd and determined businessman. I hope his company can come up with some new and top notch items. He said he doesn't just want to churn out copies of what's already out there in the market. I really wish him well. It will be interesting to see what develops on the Television front too.

I saw it, came across well I thought.

I don't know why but I was amazed at how well connected he is, well done that man. Im interested to see what he comes up with.

As for the name of the new company....its in the public domain...

Going to be very interested to see what is left to create for the Carp market, All been done to death for me, But that's probably why he's a top marketer and business person and i'm not

I thought he came across well, always liked him. The interview was quite vague though with no real insight (understandably he wants to keep things under his hat)

When I first heard about this I thought there was no space in the market for him and he would struggle, but knowing his backers, I think he is much more likely to have some success. I do worry that the market is very overloaded already though.

Is there honestly that much left that hasn't yet been designed for the carp/coarse market.....
Can only reinvent the wheel so many times....

Time will tell.
Many companies have, and still are, doing very well, copying other companies products or improving stuff that was released early for the paying public to 'field test it for them' then bring out a Mark 2 later on, made properly

You'd be surprised. Split cane rods and foil bobbins were considered technical at one stage
