My brothers step-son needs a bite alarm upgrade, and he would also like a receiver.

I've looked around at their budget (£80-£100) and found the JRC Radar DR version, and wondered if anyone else has had experience with these alarms and receiver?

I know the CX version seemed to get favourable reviews (generally), and I imagine the build quality, despite being the more budget friendly end, would be still be about the same for the DR's.

Smurfer on here has a set of JRC Radar CX alarms .................and bought a set of Prologic BAT+ Bite Alarms (in your budget shop around)
and says they are a superior alarm I have since heard of other people giving glowing reports

the Earlier Prologic alarms were rubbish but apparently the new Bat + alarms are the dogs undercarriage

For the budget you will struggle to get better than the Prologic at the moment from what I have seen. Got a set for my park lake set up and have not let me down at all. Good features, reliable, decent battery life, compact but with a surprisingly deep groove for the rod to sit in which is something I really like. Overall worth more than what they are being sold for IMO
