I'm not a fan of boxing but I was talking about this fella yesterday. We've a great bloke called Pete working one to one with a lad in my form and he's an ex boxer who knew Brian from way back and then from his time as a club owner in Blackpool.

He was talking fondly about the Floyd Patterson fight saying at the time there wouldn't have been many who would go to 11 rounds with him. He also said the Ali fight wasn't so good but it did help set Brian up for his post boxing business 😁

I think he said he'd been there in Brian's club when Bobby Moore was in and got told off as it was the night before a game.

Good age , Brian sidney harper also known as the blackpool rock after moving there at the age of 16 not a great boxer but he got in that ring and that deserves respect.cooper did him as did bugner and ali knocked him out in 3 rounds. R.I.P.
