these Actor boats are getting great reviews but think more of a UK size boat as opposed to the huge French lakes THEY ARE VERY SMALL ?
I think for a GPS enabled boat this is a great price !!!!!!!!!!LINKY POO

. . .I've got a new Actor mk4i. . .only bought it on a punt because its Deeper compatible. Will review head to head vs the Reaper asap. . .its much smaller / more than half the weight but nicely made - only time and relative real world use and abuse will tell whether its as good as its price point . . .or anywhere near as reliable as the Reaper . . .

Actor mate you won't be disappointed. I have the mk4 with go's and updated sonar.

The problem is the 2.4GHz band lots of things use it. The deeper uses the WiFi protocol which is over this band.
If you read the deeper instructions it will tell you the main usage was to be towed by a proper boat / kayak or cast. That's the main market for these carp fishing is a tiny market with 2.4GHz bait boats a problem.

. . .only reason I chopped in my Reaper because it wasn't Deeper friendly . . .you can upgrade the innards and get a new handset for reapers to work with the Deeper but it was easier to get an Actor . . .still haven't had the chance to use it yet!

I'm tempted to get an actor mk4 - there was one being used on the peg next to me on the weekend. Looked a good bit of kit, seemed a little noisey though.
Does anyone else know how it compares to the reaper? Stability/speed/hopper mechanism? I wouldn't be looking to pay anymore than reaper prices as it would be used very rarely.
